Thanks to your support we were able to purchase a Toyota Land Cruiser for Ivan, our best wood carver and father of two, in March of 2023. This car saved his life as he was able to remain in the artillery (avoiding the infantry) as a “guy with a car” to retreive supplies and evacuate wounded. The Hetmans Cruiser is still on the front line today.

Ivan however is not on the front line as he was honorably discharged in April 2024 because his 12 year old son, Ostap, has XXX which destroys his hips to the point that he cannot walk unless he gets a double hip replacement.

Ivan found a world class clinic in Kyiv with an experienced surgeon capable of doing the procedue, the cost is $6,000 per hip so $12,000 total. The clinic is necessarily private as no public clinic is able to perform such a complicated procedure.

These hips will empower little Ostap to walk and will need to be replaced in ten years after he grows into his adult body.

Ostap has been immobile for xxx period of time leading to atrophy in his entire lower half. If he doesn’t start walking soon he may never be able to.

Ivan is even considering rejoining the armed forces in a combat role to fund treatment for his son as he has no other option
